Terrance Shepherd

Terrance Shepherd is a pianist, composer, and educator who blends classical, jazz, and contemporary styles with hip-hop and R&B. He holds a Master's in Music from Radford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Queens University of Charlotte, where he studied under Dr. Matthew Cataldi, Dr. Bruce Mahin, Dr. Lawrence White, and Roxanne Holt Watson.

As the former music director of Hip Hop Orchestrated, a nonprofit in Charlotte, Terrance led innovative collaborations that bridged genres and engaged diverse audiences. His talent has been recognized by Alicia Keys, for whom he performed during a live Instagram event.

Terrance’s electroacoustic compositions merge traditional and experimental sounds to create immersive sonic experiences. As an educator, he is dedicated to inspiring students through passion, confidence, and artistic expression, preparing them to become versatile musicians. Currently, he serves as a music adjunct at Central Piedmont Community College and is an active member of the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum.
