For more than 20 years, our ArtsReach program has provided free music and visual art programming to thousands of children through local community sites at absolutely no cost to the students or program sites.

Program Description

What?

ArtsReach has provided free music and visual art programming to thousands of children through their local community centers, Title I Schools, and behavioral health centers at absolutely no cost. Current programming includes a brass band, choirs, a keyboard lab, music workshops, music therapy, and mixed media visual art classes.

Why?

ArtsReach embodies the mission of Arts+ to unleash creativity, transform lives, and build community through outstanding and accessible arts education. The students we serve face a number of barriers to their success, from homelessness to under-resourced schools to emotional and behavioral problems.

Who?

ArtsReach currently reaches more than 450 students each year at several community sites — Renaissance West Community Initiative, The Retreat at Renaissance West, Great Enrichment Program sites, Community Services Association @ First Baptist Church-West, Alexander Youth Network, Families Forward Charlotte, Safe Alliance, and The Relatives.

At each of these sites, Arts+ provides high-quality music and arts programming developed to suit the individual needs of the populations served there.
