Victoria McLaughlin
Victoria is an experienced Suzuki teacher that for almost 20 years has been enjoying the musical growth of her students in the Charlotte area. During this time, her students have successfully performed for the community and auditioned for prestigious national universities, scholarships, examinations, and chairs in the most important regional youth orchestras.
Growing up in Colombia, Victoria was both product and faculty of the Batuta program, modeled after the Venezuelan El Sistema. She was part of the National Youth Orchestra and several Chamber groups with which she toured Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. Since moving to Charlotte, Victoria has been a member of the Charlotte Philharmonic and Civic Orchestras. She has also participated in recording sessions and performances with local artists such as Rebeca Rippy, Magdalena Olsen, and Heather Himes.
