Madeline Branham
Madeline Branham is a warm and energetic music educator, who is thrilled to be part of Arts+ and the Charlotte Youth Choir faculty! Since June 2022, she has served as the Student Services Coordinator at Arts+, where she connects students with our talented instructors. Madeline manages financial aid, enrollment, and strives to ensure that the incredible programming at Arts+ is accessible for students of all ages.
A proud graduate of Gardner-Webb University, Madeline earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education. During her undergraduate career, she completed an award-winning thesis on the correlation between music education involvement and graduation rate for high school students in North Carolina. Madeline believes that music has the power to change the lives of our students and is committed to bringing that about. Madeline has been the recipient of many awards including, the Mary Doctor Award for Performing Arts at Blumenthal Arts, Excellence in Student Teaching, Teacher of the Month, Paul Schweppe Musician Award, and Musician of the Year at Gardner-Webb.
Her teaching background includes voice, piano, and theatre instruction for K-12 students at Gaston School of the Arts and choral direction at Bessemer City High School (grades 9-12). Madeline is a proud member of the Blue Ridge Consort, a professional ensemble for singers from Western North Carolina. She actively contributes to church music with her husband, Carson, at Arlington Baptist Church in Mint Hill, NC.
In her free time, Madeline enjoys thrift shopping and spending time with Carson and their goldendoodle, Ruby.
