Vote in CSA's Gingerbread Competition Dec. 12-18
Community School of the Arts is excited to present the second annual Gingerbread House Competition from Dec. 12-18. Area businesses will harness their creativity as they compete for the title of Gingerbread Champion of Charlotte with employee-built and entirely edible design replicas of some of Charlotte’s most well-known landmarks and buildings. All entries will be displayed on the second floor of Founders Hall for a week starting Dec. 12. The public is invited to vote during that time at www.csarts.org/voting for their favorite.
The winner of the competition will receive bragging rights and a trophy designed by local Charlotte mixed-media artist Jason Watson, who is also CSA’s visual arts manager. Jason’s work has been shown at galleries, universities, and nonprofit spaces.
The Gingerbread House Competition helps fund CSA’s programs throughout the year. CSA has served the community for almost 50 years by providing accessible arts education through private lessons, group classes, workshops, camps, and outreach programs supporting more than 4,000 children a year.
