Violinist Lynn Chang to Visit Arts+
Arts+ is excited to welcome internationally-renowned violinist and educator Lynn Chang to Charlotte as part of our Spotlight CLT program. A top prizewinner of the International Paganini Competition in Genoa Italy, Lynn Chang has enjoyed an active and versatile international career as soloist, chamber musician, and educator for more than thirty years. A native of Boston, Chang began his violin study at the age of seven with Sarah Scriven and Boston Symphony Orchestra violinist Alfred Krips. He continued his studies at the Juilliard School with Ivan Galamian and then went on to graduate from Harvard University.
Lynn Chang will be in Charlotte from Feb. 21-23 to engage with Arts+ and the broader community through in-school workshops, community performances, and a masterclass.
On Thursday evening, Feb. 21, Chang will be the special guest at the Arts+ Merit Scholars Recital, where he will perform a piece. A reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with the recital starting at 6:30 p.m. More event details below.
On Saturday, Feb. 23, Arts+ will host a Masterclass and Recital with Lynn Chang. Chang will work with selected students from across Charlotte and then perform a recital at 4 p.m.
