Join Arts+ for Spring Festival Celebrating Future Campus
It’s official! We signed a 50-year lease for the Plaza Presbyterian Church property. The iconic property at the intersection of The Plaza, Parkwood, and Mecklenburg avenues was the home of Plaza Presbyterian Church from the 1920s to 2022. This signing is the culmination of our journey to find a dedicated space since before moving out of Spirit Square in September 2021, our home since 1998. The property will house the Arts+ administrative offices and programs as well as function as a community resource for other organizations.
To celebrate and introduce ourselves to the Plaza Midwood neighborhood, we are hosting a Spring Festival at our future campus on Saturday, April 13 from 1-4 p.m. at 2304 The Plaza.
Join us for a day of musical performances and interactive activities including
- Musical petting zoo
- Collaborative painting
- Screen printing
- Drum circle
- Sound installation in sanctuary space
- Polaroid photoshoot
- Stop motion animation
- Watercolor postcards
- Printmaking
- Guided tours of new space
The April 13 Spring Festival is family-friendly and free to attend. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Limited parking is available at 2304 The Plaza. In order to ensure everyone is able to enjoy the festival, please consider walking, bike riding, carpooling, or taking public transportation (CATS Bus 4 stops at The Plaza & Marguerite Ave, steps away from the campus).
