Middle School Band 101 Camp
Camp Description
Interested in learning a band instrument but not sure where to start? Want to get your feet wet before signing up for a whole year of school band? This camp is perfect for you! Running the same week as our Summer Band Camp, this Band 101 Camp is designed for rising 6th-8th graders who are interested in learning an instrument for the first time.
We’ll spend the week learning the basics of our instruments, how to take care of them, starting technique and all the fundamentals you need to get started successfully on a new musical journey, including the basics of reading sheet music. This camp is perfect for students who have never been in a band before or who have some band experience but want to change instruments.
Available instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion.
Already been playing a year on your instrument? Go to our Band Camp page to sign up for the full band experience!
