About Adrian Crutchfield
Arts+ alum and renowned saxophonist, Adrian Crutchfield, will grace the audience with smooth jazz ballads. A former student of current Arts+ instructor, James Curry, Adrian "is known around the world for creating and performing music in a variety of genres such as jazz, funk, hip-hop, rock, and more."
Adrian has shown musical talent since a young age. At only four years old, he was invited on stage at a concert of acclaimed jazz artist Kenny G. Impressed with Adrian's enthusiasm, Kenny G stopped the show, played a childish melody, and bestowed a saxophone to young Adrian.
Adrian has played sax with Lionel Richie, Bette Midler, Anthony Hamilton, Young Jeezy, and more. Known as the last horn-man to perform and record (2012-2016) with Prince and the New Power Generation, Adrian is featured on many of Prince’s final masterpieces including the 2017 Grammy-Nominated Hit-N-Run Phase 2.
